Privacy Policy
- We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, phone number, location or contacts.
- Your progress, answers, notes and questions stay on your phone. We never receive them.
- There are no advertisements, no analytics and no tracking in the app.
- Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play.
1. Who we are
Unnati Promotion Prep is a study app for bank promotion examinations, published on Google Play by NIRVAH LABS ("we", "us"). You can contact us at nirvahlabs@gmail.com.
2. Information stored on your device
To work, the app saves the following only in its own storage on your phone:
- your practice history, scores, mock test results and typing test results;
- answers you type in the descriptive section;
- notes and questions you add yourself;
- your settings, such as your exam date.
This information is not sent to us or to anyone else. If you have turned on Android backup for your Google account, Android may include the app's data in your device backup under Google's terms. We cannot access that backup.
2a. Optional features that stay on your phone
- Daily reminder. If you turn it on in Settings, the app shows one local notification a day at the time you choose. Android asks you for notification permission first. The reminder is created on your phone; nothing is sent to us. The app also re-arms the reminder after your phone restarts.
- Backup file. If you tap Save backup, the app writes your progress, notes, own questions and settings to a file at a place you choose with Android's file picker (for example your phone storage or Google Drive). If you tap Restore backup, the app reads only the one file you pick. We never receive these files; any copy saved to a cloud service is handled under that service's terms.
- Sharing a score or a challenge. If you tap Share score, Send code or Send my score, the app prepares a picture or a short message and opens Android's share menu. Nothing is shared unless you choose an app and send it. Challenge codes contain no personal information; they only tell the app which questions to show.
- Listen mode. If you tap Listen, the app passes the text on screen to your phone's own text-to-speech engine to read it aloud. We receive nothing. Most engines work on the phone; if yours uses the internet, its provider's terms apply.
- Rating request. After some mock tests the app may ask Google Play to show its rating dialog. Ratings and reviews you give are handled by Google Play under Google's terms.
3. Purchases
The optional "Full access" purchase is processed by Google Play. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. Google shares with us the order information it provides to all developers, such as the order number, date, product, price and the country or state of purchase, which we use for accounting and tax purposes and to help with refund requests. The app includes Google's Play Billing library, which uses your internet connection to communicate with Google Play when you buy full access or when the app checks whether you have already bought it. The app's own study pages work offline and do not send any data.
4. Information you send us
If you email us, for example to report an error in a question, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you and to correct the content, and we delete the correspondence once the matter is closed, unless the law requires us to keep it.
5. What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or share personal information.
- We do not show advertisements or use advertising identifiers.
- We do not use analytics, crash-reporting or tracking services.
- The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos or location, and it does not browse your files: it opens only a backup file you pick yourself. The only permission it asks for is to show the optional daily reminder.
6. Children
The app is meant for bank employees preparing for promotion examinations. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
7. Deleting your information
Because your data stays on your phone, you control it. Use More → Exam date and settings → Reset progress in the app, clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Your purchase remains linked to your Google account so that you can restore it on a new phone; refunds are handled through Google Play.
8. Your rights and grievances
You may contact us about any question or complaint relating to your personal data, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, at nirvahlabs@gmail.com. We will reply within 30 days.
9. Independent study aid
Unnati Promotion Prep is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any bank, the Reserve Bank of India or any examining body.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's update description on Google Play.
